Flavor of the Week (July 22, 2009)

Welcome to the second weekly event known as Bill's Flavors of the Week! Got some good stuff your you this week. From religious building blocks to the basic building blocks of the food pyramid. Scroll down and get you some flavor!

Weekly Website Flavor:
The Brick Testament

Working in the Religious Studies Department at school provides many stories - some amazing, some funny, and some just plain weird (such as the lady who called us to investigate an image she found in her potato chip). Thus, one day we were sent this little gem. Some guy apparently one day decided to portray the majority of the Bible through Lego blocks. Its all in good fun (I think) but some of it can be a little offensive. Check out the story of Adam and Eve or the book of Revelation. Its a great way to laugh. I wouldn't look for spiritual lessons however - just some fun.

Weekly VidPic Flavor:
Local Television Commercial

Sometimes I watch TV and think, "Who makes these and says 'Yeah thats a good ad." I've collected a few of my favorites for you to enjoy. I hope they didnt pay much for these. I'm pretty sure my 10 year old cousin could have made better ones. Enjoy.

Weekly Off-Line Flavor:
Pasta Roni

This stuff is my favorite. They are delicious and are pretty much all I have eaten in the past few years. Filling. Cheap (10 for $10). Very good tasting. I always keep like six in my pantry at a time. If you've never had one, I strongly recommend the Shells and White Cheddar, the Garlic and Olive Oil, or the Fettuccine Alfredo. Keep them in your dorm or apartment. I think they are technically supposed to be side dishes, but make a quick, delicious meal. You are missing out.
